Bottom-ranked TianJin Rongcheng managed to get a fifth victory, breaking the three-game losing streak. This time they edged fourteenth-ranked Jilin Tigers in Changchun 82-80. Jilin Tigers were ahead by 8 points at the halftime before a 27-15 third quarter run of TianJin Rongcheng. They also forced 20 Jilin Tigers turnovers. Ivorian-French power forward Herve Lamizana (207-81, college: Rutgers) scored 26 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Vernon Hamilton (183-84, college: Clemson) chipped in 17 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Four TianJin Rongcheng players scored in double figures. TianJin Rongcheng's coach Bob MacKinnon allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game.
