Regular Season Round 21: Ferrara - San Severo 80-61

No shocking result in a game when tenth ranked Naturhouse Ferrara (9-12) smashed at home 15th ranked Mazzeo San Severo (5-16) 80-61. It looked good early as Mazzeo San Severo took an 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Naturhouse Ferrara took control winning next two quarters and eventually winning the game that evening by 19 points. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Mazzeo San Severo to just 5 points in second quarter. Naturhouse Ferrara forced 21 Mazzeo San Severo turnovers. It was a good game for naturalized Albanian swingman Klaudio Ndoja (198-85) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 8 rebounds. Naturalized Ghanian guard David Cournooh (190-90) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Four Naturhouse Ferrara players scored in double figures. Naturhouse Ferrara's coach Alberto Martelossi allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Kaniel Dickens (203-78, college: Idaho) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds and power forward Luca Ianes (202-80) added 10 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Mazzeo San Severo. Despite that victory Naturhouse Ferrara went down to eleventh position due to points difference. Newly promoted Mazzeo San Severo keeps the fifteenth place with 16 games lost. Naturhouse Ferrara will play against higher ranked Sunrise Scafati (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Mazzeo San Severo will play against Tuscany Pistoia (#10) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
