Fourth ranked Ullern (8-7) crushed at home 5th ranked NTNUI (3-12) by 42 points 80-38, which is the biggest margin this round on Sunday night. The game without a history. Ullern led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding NTNUI to just 6 points in second quarter and to 13 points in first half. Ullern dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to NTNUI's 30. Ullern forced 21 NTNUI turnovers and outrebounded them 40-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Therese Hager (183, college: Sam Houston St.) who scored 17 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international forward Guro Nyquist (178-83) chipped in 16 points. Four Ullern players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Hanna Gaarder who recorded 3 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Ellen Skjonsfjell added 6 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Ullern maintains fourth place with 8-7 record. NTNUI lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the sixth position with 12 games lost. Ullern will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. NTNUI will play against Nordstrand (#5) in Oslo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
