The game in Hertzeliya was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Maccabi Ashdod (12-6) played at the court of 6th ranked Raanana Hertzeliya (10-8). Maccabi Ashdod managed to secure a 5-point victory 65-60 on Monday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Raanana Hertzeliya. Raanana Hertzeliya was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. The best player for the winners was swingman Tamara James (178-84, college: Miami (FL), agency: 540 Sports) who scored 21 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Renee Montgomery (170-86, college: Connecticut, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 8 points and 9 rebounds. Four Maccabi Ashdod players scored in double figures. Forward Christi Thomas (191-82) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and guard Jene Morris (175-87, college: San Diego St.) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Maccabi Ashdod moved-up to third place, which they share with Ramat Hen. Raanana Hertzeliya at the other side keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
