Leader Hapoel T-A delivered the nineteenth victory. This time they beat 5th ranked Hapoel Tivon (10-10) 93-78 in Tel-Aviv. The game was mostly controlled by Hapoel T-A. Hapoel Tivon was better in fourth quarter 27-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hapoel T-A forced 19 Hapoel Tivon turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Hapoel T-A especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. The winners were led by American forward Brian Asbury (200-86, college: Miami (FL)) who scored that evening 24 points and Jamaican-American power forward Adrian Uter (201-84, college: Hofstra, agency: Gross Zeev ISA) supported him with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 blocks. Even 19 points and 5 rebounds by power forward Kobi Izik (204-83, agency: Avi Zilberman) did not help to save the game for Hapoel Tivon. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Hapoel T-A maintains first position with 19-1 record. Hapoel Tivon at the other side dropped to the sixth place with ten games lost. Hapoel T-A's next round opponent will be Hapoel Beeri (#13) in Beer-Shev which should be an easy win for them. Hapoel Tivon will play at home against the league's second-placed Maccabi HBK (#2) in Habikaa.
