The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Kalev/Cramo as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Kalev/Cramo defeated 7th ranked TTU/Kalev II in Tallinn 92-76. The game was mostly controlled by Kalev/Cramo. TTU/Kalev II managed to win second period 20-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Kalev/Cramo forced 23 TTU/Kalev II turnovers. International guard Gert Dorbek (194-85) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points. International forward Joosep Toome (202-85) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Four Kalev/Cramo players scored in double figures. Kalev/Cramo's coach Aivar Kuusmaa used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Kiur Akenparg (190-88) replied with 36 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds (was perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line !!!) and American center Andrew Arnold (208-86, college: Lewis-Clark) added 15 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for TTU/Kalev II. Kalev/Cramo (24-3) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. TTU/Kalev II lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 17 games lost. TTU/Kalev II will play next round against KK Parnu trying to get back on the winning streak. Kalev/Cramo will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Valga/CKE at home.
