The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Osaka Evessa (21-13) on the court of fourth ranked Tokyo Apache on Tuesday night. Visitors were edged by Tokyo Apache 85-84. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Osaka Evessa. Osaka Evessa was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 9-point lead after three quarters before a 32-22 charge of Tokyo Apache, which allowed them to win the game. 25 personal fouls committed by Osaka Evessa helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Forward Lawrence Blackledge (203-86, college: Marquette) responded with 9 points and 14 rebounds and forward Lynn Washington (200-78, college: Indiana) scored 17 points. Four Osaka Evessa players scored in double figures. Tokyo Apache (17-11) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Osaka Evessa at the other side still keeps top position with 13 games lost. They share it with Okinawa GK. Tokyo Apache are looking forward to face league's second-placed Okinawa GK on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Osaka Evessa will play against Akita Happinets and is hoping to win this game.
