An interesting game took place in Jinan where 9th ranked Shandong Bulls (12-13) were upseton its own court by twelfth ranked Shanghai Sharks (11-15) 113-103 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Shanghai Sharks. Shandong Bulls managed to win fourth quarter 30-28. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Shandong Bulls 53-39 including 17 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was American forward Mike Harris (198-83, college: Rice) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 18 rebounds. International guard Wei LiuWei (190-80) chipped in 28 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Five Shanghai Sharks players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Rodney White (206-80, college: Charlotte) who recorded 29 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Jinshuai Zhai (205-86) added 26 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Shanghai Sharks moved-up to eleventh place. Loser Shandong Bulls keep the ninth position with 13 games lost. Shanghai Sharks will meet at home Qingdao Double Star (#14) in the next round. Shandong Bulls will play against Shanxi Zhongyu (#12) in Taiyuan and hope to secure a win.
