Regular Season Round 24: AZS Radex - Rosa Radom 61-68

Very expected game when 10th ranked AZS Szczecin (9-15) was defeated at home by third ranked Rosasport (18-6) 68-61. It looked good early as AZS Szczecin took an 7-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Rosasport had a 21-12 second period charge getting the lead and AZS Szczecin was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 61-68. It was a good game for guard Michal Przybylski (194-84) who led his team to a victory with 7 points and 15 rebounds. Guard Artur Donigiewicz (185-84) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Four Rosasport players scored in double figures. Swingman Krzysztof Mielczarek (198-81) replied with 8 points and 16 rebounds and guard Maciej Majcherek (190-82) added 17 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for AZS Szczecin. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rosasport have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. AZS Szczecin at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the tenth position with 15 games lost. Rosasport will play against MKS Znicz Basket (#9) in Pruszkow in the next round and are hoping to win another game. AZS Szczecin will play at home against Spojnia in Stargard and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
