Regular Season Round 27: Beijing Ducks - TianJin S. 96-84

There was no surprise when 17th ranked TianJin Rongcheng (5-20) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Beijing Ducks (14-11) 96-84 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Beijing Ducks. TianJin Rongcheng managed to win third quarter 21-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Beijing Ducks shot 32 for 46 from the free-throw line, while TianJin Rongcheng only scored fourteen points from the stripe. The best player for the winners was American power forward Randolph Morris (211-86, college: Kentucky) who scored 27 points and 8 rebounds. Jordanian forward Zaid Abbaas (203-83) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 18 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Ivorian-French power forward Herve Lamizana (207-81, college: Rutgers) who recorded a double-double by scoring 31 points and 11 rebounds and American guard Vernon Hamilton (183-84, college: Clemson) added 15 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Beijing Ducks moved-up to fifth place. Loser TianJin Rongcheng stay at the bottom position with 20 games lost. They share it with Fujian. Beijing Ducks will meet Foshan (#15) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. TianJin Rongcheng will play against the league's leader Xinjiang Flying Tige in Urumqi and hope to secure a win.
