Everything went according to plan in Bahia Blanca where eleventh ranked Estudiantes (8-10) beat 14th ranked Boca Juniors (7-13) 94-84 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Estudiantes. Boca Juniors was better in fourth quarter 26-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Estudiantes made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Estudiantes especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Estudiantes made 7 blocks. Loser Boca Juniors keeps the fourteenth position with 13 games lost. Estudiantes will face league's second-placed Lanus in Buenos Aires in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Boca Juniors will play on the road against Argentino (#13) in Junin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
