Fourth-ranked Jiangsu Dragons (15-11) made lots of trouble for third ranked Guandong Tigers (19-7) in Dongguan. Guandong Tigers managed to secure only two-point victory 108-106. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Jiangsu Dragons. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Jiangsu Dragons won third quarter 29-27. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Guandong Tigers won last quarter 31-30. They dominated down low during the game scoring 84 of its points in the paint compared to Jiangsu Dragons' 58. Guandong Tigers forced 19 Jiangsu Dragons turnovers and outrebounded them 50-36 including a 24-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. Guandong Tigers brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Marcus Haislip (207-80, college: Tennessee) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 30 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field). The other American import guard Lester Hudson (191-84, college: Tennessee-Martin) contributed with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American swingman Antoine Wright (201-84, college: Texas A&M) replied with 23 points and 7 rebounds and French power forward Jerome Moiso (208-78, college: UCLA) added 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) in the effort for Jiangsu Dragons. Four Guandong Tigers and five Jiangsu Dragons players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Guandong Tigers have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 19-7 record having six points less than leader Xinjiang. Jiangsu Dragons at the other side keep the fourth place with 11 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
