No shocking result in a game in Ningbo where sixth ranked Bayi Fubang (15-12) defeated 16th ranked Fujian SBS XunXin (5-21) 109-92 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Bayi Fubang. Fujian SBS XunXin was better in fourth quarter 31-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Strangely Fujian SBS XunXin outrebounded Bayi Fubang 41-29 including 27 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Fujian SBS XunXin's players. The former international center ZhiZhi Wang (214-79) fired 30 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. International forward Lehei De (208-87) chipped in 21 points. American center Dwayne Jones (211-83, college: St.Joseph's) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 16 rebounds and his fellow American import swingman Andre Emmett (196-82, college: Texas Tech) added 25 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Fujian SBS XunXin's coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Bayi Fubang moved-up to fifth place. Fujian SBS XunXin lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the sixteenth position with 21 games lost. Bayi Fubang will face Foshan (#14) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Fujian SBS XunXin will play against Shanghai Sharks.
