Leader Xinjiang Flying Tige delivered the twentieth fifth victory on Friday night. This time they crushed 17th ranked TianJin Rongcheng (5-21) 110-91 in Tianjin. The game was mostly controlled by Xinjiang Flying Tige. TianJin Rongcheng managed to win second period 29-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Xinjiang Flying Tige made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. Xinjiang Flying Tige looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of American guard Quincy Douby (191-84, college: Rutgers) who helped to win the game recording 40 points (!!!) and 5 assists and international guard QingPeng Zhang (189-81) who added 25 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side Ivorian-French power forward Herve Lamizana (207-81, college: Rutgers) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and American guard Vernon Hamilton (183-84, college: Clemson) scored 22 points and 5 steals. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Xinjiang Flying Tige (25-1) have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Loser TianJin Rongcheng stay dead last with 21 lost games. They share the position with Fujian. Xinjiang Flying Tige will meet Foshan (#14) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. TianJin Rongcheng will play against Shandong Bulls in Jinan and hope to secure a win.
