Regular Season Round 28: Foshan LL - Beijing Ducks 86-74

We should mention about the upset which took place in Foshan, where higher ranked Beijing Ducks (14-12) lost to fifteenth ranked Foshan (9-17) in a road game 74-86. The hosts were ahead by 7 points but lost the second period ending it with a 1-point deficit before their 30-17 run, which allowed them to win the game. Foshan outrebounded Beijing Ducks 46-25 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by American guard Stephon Marbury (187-77, college: Georgia Tech) who scored that evening 32 points and Nigerian-British power forward Olumide Oyedeji (208-81) supported him with 8 points and 18 rebounds. Even 29 points and 8 rebounds by American power forward Randolph Morris (211-86, college: Kentucky) did not help to save the game for Beijing Ducks. Jordanian forward Zaid Abbaas (203-83) added 7 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Foshan moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Qingdao DS. Beijing Ducks at the other side dropped to the sixth position with 12 games lost. Foshan's next round opponent will be league's leader Xinjiang Flying Tige in Urumqi and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
