Rather expected game when 13th ranked Koroivos (5-11) was defeated at home by tenth ranked Amyntas Dafnis (7-9) 79-74. Amyntas Dafnis dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Koroivos' 32. 25 personal fouls committed by Koroivos helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by forward Pigas Papargiropoulos (202-86) who scored that evening 15 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and swingman Fedonas Pagonis (197-85) supported him with 12 points and 8 rebounds. Amyntas Dafnis' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even a double-double of 28 points and 11 rebounds by guard Nikos Pettas (195-81) did not help to save the game for Koroivos. Serbian forward Predrag Kosanovic (203-76, agency: BeoExcell) added 14 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Amyntas Dafnis moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Apollon Patras and AEK/Argous. Newly promoted Koroivos keeps the thirteenth position with 11 games lost. Amyntas Dafnis' next round opponent will be league's second-placed Ikaroi Serron in Serres and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Koroivos will play on the road against Periko/Arhelaos (#11) in Perikos and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
