Regular Season Round 24: Orchy - St Quentin 65-74
Date: February 26, 2011
Not a big story in a game in Orchies where 10th ranked Orchesien BC (11-13) was defeated by eighth ranked Saint-Quentin (13-11) 74-65 on Saturday. Orchesien BC trailed by 12 points at halftime and as many as 14 after three quarters before a 15-10 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 65-74 at the end of the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian forward Dejan Sencanski (198-84, college: Abil.Christian, agency: JEMsports) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 5 rebounds and forward Julien Lesieu (199-83) who added 18 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was swingman David Cilly (196-81) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and naturalized Mali guard Modibo Niakate (185-81, college: Cleveland St.) scored 17 points. Orchesien BC's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Saint-Quentin moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Sorgues and St Etienne. Orchesien BC lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the twelfth position with 13 games lost. Saint-Quentin will face Denek (#13) in Bidart in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Orchesien BC will play at home against Angers BC 49.
