The game between sixth ranked LKS Sphinx (16-9) and 16th ranked Polonia 2011 (5-19) in Lodz on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. LKS Sphinx outscored guests from Warszawa 78-56. The game without a history. LKS Sphinx led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Polonia 2011's 20. LKS Sphinx forced 19 Polonia 2011 turnovers and outrebounded them 48-27 including a 34-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for center Krzysztof Sulima (202-90) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). Forward Jakub Dluski (200-87) contributed with 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. LKS Sphinx's coach Piotr Zych felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Michal Jankowski (192-87) answered with 15 points and 4 assists and guard Sebastian Kowalczyk (188-93) added 15 points and 4 assists in the effort for Polonia 2011. LKS Sphinx maintains sixth place with 16-9 record. Polonia 2011 lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 19 games lost. LKS Sphinx will face Olimp MKS Start Lublin (#12) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Polonia 2011 will play against Olimp MKS Start Lublin (#12) and be promoted back to the PLK just one year after relegation.
