Regular Season Round 16: Zabok - Darda 103-87

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both sixth ranked Zabok and 7th ranked Vrijednosnice OS had identical 7-8 record. This time Zabok used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Darda 103-87 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Zabok. Vrijednosnice OS managed to win fourth quarter 24-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Forward Robert Lez (200-79) fired 33 points (!!!) for the winners. Forward Igor Peklaric (200-79) chipped in 19 points. Center Ivan Krolo (217-83) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and forward Zvonimir Ridl (204-73) added 23 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively for lost side. Four Vrijednosnice OS players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Zabok (8-8) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Kvarner 2010. Loser Vrijednosnice OS keeps the seventh position with nine games lost. Zabok will meet Dubrava (#9) in the next round. Vrijednosnice OS will play against Svjetlost in Slavonski Brod and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
