The game in Tbilisi supposed to be also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Kutaisi (10-4) played at the court of 8th ranked GTU (4-11). Kutaisi smashed GTU 95-66. The game was mostly controlled by Kutaisi. GTU was better in second period 26-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Kutaisi forced 25 GTU turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. GTU was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for guard Buba Kvimsadze (195-82) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists and 6 steals. Forward Giorgi Barbakadze (203-91) helped adding 18 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Kutaisi players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Beqa Chikviladze (195-91) with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Giorgi Jangveladze (198-89) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kutaisi maintains fourth place with 10-4 record. GTU at the other side dropped to the ninth position with 11 games lost. They share it with GSAU Tbilisi. Kutaisi will play against league's second-placed MIA in Tbilisi in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
