Regular Season Round 36: Fukuoka Rizing - Takamatsu FA 94-69

There was no surprise when 9th ranked Takamatsu FA (9-26) was crushed on the road by fourth ranked Fukuoka Rizing (20-15) 94-69 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Fukuoka Rizing. Takamatsu FA was better in fourth quarter 24-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fukuoka Rizing forced 23 Takamatsu FA turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The game was also dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was swingman Michael Parker (200-81, college: Evergreen St.) who had a double-double by scoring 30 points and 18 rebounds. Guard Nile Murry (193-83, college: TCU) chipped in 11 points and 6 assists. Five Fukuoka Rizing players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Jefferey Price (203-85, college: Miss.Valley St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and guard Rasheed Sparks (190-77, college: Morgan St.) added 6 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fukuoka Rizing moved-up to third place. Takamatsu FA lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 26 games lost. Fukuoka Rizing will face again Takamatsu FA (#9) at home in the next round where they are favorite.
