The most exciting game of round 16 in the A2 took place in Argous. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 8th ranked AEK/Argous (7-9) to sixth ranked Arkadikos (9-7) 66-64 on Saturday evening. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 18-7 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Arkadikos dominated on the defensive end, holding AEK/Argous to just 7 points in third quarter. Guard Miron Papadakis (183-88) fired 19 points and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Giannis Prodromou (196-87) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. Prodromou is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. They share it with Amyntas Dafnis and Apollon Patras. Arkadikos is looking forward to face Panelefsiniakos (#5) in Eleusina in the next round. AEK/Argous will play on the road against Panerythraikos in New Eritrea and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
