A1 top team - KK Split (13-3) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed fifth ranked Kvarner 2010 (8-8) 105-74. The game was mostly controlled by KK Split. Kvarner 2010 managed to win fourth quarter 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. KK Split dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Kvarner 2010's 40. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Kvarner 2010's players. Worth to mention a quality performance of guard Ivan Mimica (193-80) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 4 assists and swingman Josip Sobin (203-89) who added 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. KK Split have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 13-3 record. Newly promoted Kvarner 2010 keeps the fifth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Zabok. KK Split are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Trogir (#10) in Trogir in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Kvarner 2010 will play on the road against the league's second-placed Borik Puntamika (#2) in Zadar and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
