Leader Tampereen Pyrinto delivered the 32th win on Sunday night. This time they crushed 10th ranked Salon Vilpas (13-25) 76-57. The game without a history. Tampereen Pyrinto led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Tampereen Pyrinto forced 19 Salon Vilpas turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Tampereen Pyrinto especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. The best player for the winners was American forward Damon Williams (201-73, college: Colorado St.-Pueblo) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. The other American import guard Kenneth Lowe (192-80, college: Purdue, agency: Warren Sports International) chipped in 17 points and 4 steals. Five Tampereen Pyrinto players scored in double figures. The former international forward Jukka Kataja (197-82) produced 8 points and 15 rebounds and Nigerian guard Nick Okorie (185-88, college: Texas Tech) added 17 points respectively for the hosts. Tampereen Pyrinto (32-7) have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position. Salon Vilpas at the other side keeps the tenth place with 25 games lost. Tampereen Pyrinto are looking forward to face league's second-placed KTP-Basket in Kotka in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Salon Vilpas will play on the road against Kauhajoen Karhu (#7) in Kauhajoki and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
