We should mention about the upset which took place in Cremona, where 11th ranked Angelico Biella (8-12) lost to fourteenth ranked Vanoli-Braga (9-11) in a road game 72-87 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Vanoli-Braga. Angelico Biella managed to win fourth quarter 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Vanoli-Braga made 22-of-25 free shots (88.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Angelico Biella turnovers and outrebounded them 37-24 including a 28-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Naturalized American forward Jeffrey Viggiano (200-84, college: Massachusetts) responded with 16 points and 8 rebounds and American forward Marc Salyers (205-79, college: Samford) scored 19 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Angelico Biella players scored in double figures. Vanoli-Braga have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 5 other teams. Loser Angelico Biella dropped to the twelfth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Cimberio VA. Vanoli-Braga will meet Cimberio Varese (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
