Bottom-ranked Sionista managed to get the second consecutive victory on Sunday night. This time they edged sixth-ranked Atenas in Parana 95-92. The hosts trailed by 11 points after first quarter, but they rallied back winning two of next three quarters and won the game by 3 points. Sionista dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Atenas' 40. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Alejandro Zilli (200-82) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 7 rebounds and American forward Christopher Hayes (206-87, college: Detroit Mercy) who added 22 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Hayes is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sionista maintains sixteenth position with 6-14 record. Atenas lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh place with nine games lost. Sionista will meet league's leader Obras in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Atenas will play against Regatas Corrientes (#12) and hope to secure a win.
