The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Kalev/Cramo as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Kalev/Cramo defeated 5th ranked Rapla in Tallinn 83-66. The game was mostly controlled by Kalev/Cramo. Rapla managed to win second period 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Kalev/Cramo forced 19 Rapla turnovers. International guard Gert Dorbek (194-85) fired 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. International forward Joosep Toome (202-85) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. Kalev/Cramo's coach Aivar Kuusmaa used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Heigo Erm (190-80) produced 17 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Raido Ringmets (204-83) added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Rapla players scored in double figures. Kalev/Cramo (26-3) have an impressive nine-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Rapla lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifth place with 16 games lost. Rapla will play next round against strong BC Rakvere trying to get back on the winning streak. Kalev/Cramo will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked TTU/Kalev. It will be extra interesting game as TTU/Kalev is their local rival from Tallinn.
