An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Krakow. First ranked Wisla Can-Pak faced second-best CCC Polkowice. Host Wisla Can-Pak (20-2) defeated guests from Polkowice (19-3) 67-53. It ended at the same time the 12-game winning streak of CCC Polkowice. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Wisla Can-Pak. CCC Polkowice managed to win fourth quarter 18-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding CCC Polkowice to just 6 points in third quarter. Wisla Can-Pak looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Belarusian center Yelena Leuchanka (196-83, college: W.Virginia) who scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. Latvian forward Gunta Basko (181-80, college: Siena, agency: Josep and Nicolas) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Sharnee Zoll (170-86, college: Virginia) who recorded 12 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals and her fellow American import power forward Amisha Carter (188-82, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: Josep and Nicolas) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively. CCC Polkowice's coach Krzysztof Koziorowicz rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Wisla Can-Pak maintains first position with 20-2 record. CCC Polkowice at the other side keeps the second place with three games lost. Wisla Can-Pak are looking forward to face Lider Pruszkow (#5) on the road in the next round. CCC Polkowice will play against LKS Siemens in Lodz and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
