Important game to mention about took place in Valga. Fourth ranked BC Rakvere (14-13) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 5th ranked Valga/CKE (10-17) 95-93 on Friday evening. Valga/CKE was ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 46-41 second half run of BC Rakvere. Worth to mention a great performance of Latvian forward Ivars Timermanis (202-82, agency: Alti Sport) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds. American guard Matthew Hall (191-86, college: Stonehill) contributed with 25 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Hall is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The former international swingman Veljo Vares (200-81) replied with 21 points and 6 rebounds and guard Timo Oja (182-87) added 21 points in the effort for Valga/CKE. Five Valga/CKE players scored in double figures. BC Rakvere maintains fourth position with 14-13 record. Valga/CKE lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth place with 17 games lost. BC Rakvere will play against Rapla (#5) at home in the next round. Valga/CKE will play against Voru KK and hopes to get back on the winning track.
