LigaA top team - Obras (16-6) added another victory to their record. This time they beat sixth ranked Libertad Sunchales (12-10) in Buenos Aires 64-60. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Obras dominated on the defensive end, holding Libertad Sunchales to just 6 points in second quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of international power forward Juan Gutierrez (205-83) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 20 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!). The former international guard Luis Cequeira (180-85) contributed with 12 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Obras players scored in double figures. American center Robert Battle (204-81, college: Drexel, agency: Dream Team Management) replied with 8 points and 20 rebounds and the former international guard Sebastian Ginobili (190-72) added 20 points and 4 assists in the effort for Libertad Sunchales. Obras have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 16-6 record. Libertad Sunchales at the other side dropped to the seventh place with ten games lost. Obras' next round opponent will be La Union (#4) in Formosa. Libertad Sunchales will play at home against Estudiantes in Bahia Blanca and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
