Regular Season Round 10: Yulon Luxgen - Dacin Tigers 74-82

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when one of their biggest challengers Yulon Luxgen (13-12) was defeated by fourth ranked Dacin Tigers (13-12) 82-74 on Friday. Yulon Luxgen trailed by 12 points at halftime and as many as 13 after three quarters before a 24-19 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 74-82 at the end of the game. Dacin Tigers dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Yulon Luxgen's 40. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Vincentian-American forward Alexus Foyle (198-78, college: BYU-Hawaii, agency: Prossin Sports Management) had a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds (on 19-of-25 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and the former international forward Lei Tien (203-83) chipped in 17 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. At the losing side the former international forward Cheng-Ju Lu (194-86) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds and the former international forward Che-Yi Yang (193-78) scored 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Yulon Luxgen players scored in double figures. Dacin Tigers moved-up to third place, which they share with defeated Yulon Luxgen. Dacin Tigers will face bottom-ranked KKL (#7) in the next round. Yulon Luxgen will play again against Dacin Tigers (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
