Regular Season Round 31: Zhejiang CB - Xinjiang FT 92-100

Leader Xinjiang Flying Tige delivered the twentieth eighth win on Friday night. This time they beat 5th ranked Zhejiang Cyclones (16-13) 100-92 in Hangzhou. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Zhejiang Cyclones. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Zhejiang Cyclones won fourth quarter 27-25. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Xinjiang Flying Tige forced 22 Zhejiang Cyclones turnovers. American forward James Singleton (203-81, college: Murray St.) fired a double-double by scoring 30 points and 11 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!) for the winners. His fellow American import guard Quincy Douby (191-84, college: Rutgers) chipped in 23 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Four Xinjiang Flying Tige players scored in double figures. Xinjiang Flying Tige's coach XingQuan Jiang used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American power forward Josh Boone (208-84, college: Connecticut) produced a double-double by scoring 30 points, 22 rebounds and 5 assists and center Zhuojun Zhang (204-91) added 21 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Xinjiang Flying Tige (28-1) have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They maintain first place. Zhejiang Cyclones at the other side keep the fifth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Zhejiang G.L. and Beijing. Xinjiang Flying Tige are looking forward to face Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (#7) in Hangzhou in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Zhejiang Cyclones will play on the road against Shandong Bulls in Jinan and are hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
