Regular Season Round 24: Lille - Clermont 68-73

An interesting game took place in Lille, where higher ranked Lille Metropole (10-14) lost at home to seventeenth ranked Stade Clermont (6-18) 68-73 on Friday. Lille Metropole was trailing by 4 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 18-12 charge of Stade Clermont, which allowed them to win the game. Stade Clermont had a 34-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was swingman Dreke Bouldin (202-80, college: Fresno St.) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. Guard O'Darien Bassett (188-86, college: Troy) chipped in 11 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Stade Clermont players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Andre Harris (201-85, college: Fairleigh Dickinson) who recorded 23 points and 7 rebounds and forward Sean Barnette (195-86, college: Wingate, agency: Warren Sports International) added 17 points respectively. Lille Metropole's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Stade Clermont maintains seventeenth position with 6-18 record. Loser Lille Metropole dropped to the twelfth place with 14 games lost. Stade Clermont will face higher ranked SO Maritime Boulogne (#11) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
