Very important is a road loss of second ranked Townsville Crocodiles (14-10) against fifth ranked Wollongong Hawks (12-12) on Saturday night. Visiting Townsville Crocodiles were defeated by Wollongong Hawks in Gwynneville 87-77. The game was mostly controlled by Wollongong Hawks. Townsville Crocodiles was better in fourth quarter 22-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Wollongong Hawks made 24-of-30 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Wollongong Hawks outrebounded Townsville Crocodiles 38-23 including a 24-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Townsville Crocodiles were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch.
