Very important is a road loss of third ranked Basket Esch (12-8) against fourth ranked Amicale (12-8) on Saturday night. Visiting Basket Esch was defeated by Amicale in Steinsel 84-68. Basket Esch was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 32-15 charge of Amicale, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 19 Basket Esch turnovers. The best player for the winners was guard Christopher Jones (186-90) who scored 23 points and 7 rebounds. The former international guard Christian Schartz (180-86) chipped in 18 points and 7 assists. Four Amicale players scored in double figures. American forward John Reimold (198-81, college: Bowling Green) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points and 15 rebounds and Slovakian power forward Stefan Svitek (203-77) added 18 points respectively for the guests. Amicale moved-up to third place in League. Amicale will meet at home league's second-placed Etzella in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Basket Esch will play against Residence in Bereldange and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
