1/8 Finals Round 1: Licher Baeren - Wulfen 75-56

The game without a history. Licher Baeren led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Peer Wente (203-77) who helped to win the game recording 11 points and 9 rebounds. American guard Willis Gardner (185-86, college: Colorado St., agency: Stanley International) contributed with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Licher Baeren players scored in double figures. American forward Joseph Henley (196-85, college: Sacred Heart) answered with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import guard Steve Briggs (178-85, college: Okla.Wesleyan) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for BSV Wulfen. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
