BJ League top team - Osaka Evessa (23-14) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat sixth ranked Shimane Magic (17-20) 75-65. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Shimane Magic. The guests trailed by 7 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 75-65. The best player for the winners was American forward Lawrence Blackledge (203-86, college: Marquette) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds. The other American import forward Lynn Washington (200-78, college: Indiana) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. Blackledge is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American forward Reggie Golson (201-81, college: SE Missouri St., agency: Court Side) produced 22 points and 8 rebounds and the former international guard Takumi Ishizaki (188-84) added 13 points respectively for the hosts. Osaka Evessa maintains first position with 23-14 record, which they share with Okinawa GK. Loser Shimane Magic keeps the sixth place with 20 games lost. Osaka Evessa will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
