Regular Season Round 10: Dacin Tigers - Pure Youth 76-82

Rather expected game when one of their biggest challengers Dacin Tigers (13-12) were defeated by second ranked Pure Youth (17-9) 82-76 on Saturday. Dacin Tigers trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 26-20 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 76-82 at the end of the game. They outrebounded Dacin Tigers 46-31 including 31 on the defensive glass. American forward Rashad Jennings (203-84, college: UALR) had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international forward Chia-Hong Chien (197-87) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Pure Youth's coach Chin-Tse Hsu used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side the former international guard Chih-Feng Chang (183-81) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and the former international forward Lei Tien (203-83) scored 18 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Pure Youth maintains second position with 17-9 record having four points less than leader Taiwan Beer. Loser Dacin Tigers dropped to the third place with 12 games lost. Pure Youth will face bottom-ranked KKL (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Dacin Tigers will play against Yulon Luxgen (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
