Rather expected game when 7th ranked VOO Verviers-Pepinster (6-13) lost on the road to fifth ranked Antwerp Giants (10-9) 88-78 on Saturday. Antwerp Giants shot 64.7 percent from the field. American forward Darnell Wilson (198-85, college: Canisius, agency: Court Side) notched 32 points and 4 steals (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and the former international guard Roel Moors (190-78, agency: Agency No 10) supported him with 11 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Even 21 points and 7 rebounds by American guard Stefon Jackson (196-85, college: UTEP) did not help to save the game for VOO Verviers-Pepinster. His fellow American import forward Brandon Gay (203-82, college: San Diego, agency: Edge Sports) added 17 points for lost side. Four Antwerp Giants and five VOO Verviers-Pepinster players scored in double figures. Antwerp Giants moved-up to fourth place. Loser VOO Verviers-Pepinster dropped to the eighth position with 13 games lost. Antwerp Giants will meet Base Oostende (#5) on the road in the next round. VOO Verviers-Pepinster will play against Dexia Mons-Hainaut in Quaregnon and hope to secure a win.
