Another upset was a game between AEK/Argous (7-10) and Panerythraikos (6-11), which took place in New Eritrea. Higher ranked AEK/Argous lost to fifteenth ranked Panerythraikos in a road game 77-84 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 26-17 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Panerythraikos forced 20 AEK/Argous turnovers. Strangely AEK/Argous outrebounded Panerythraikos 34-16 including a 25-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Cypriot guard Andreas Sizopoulos (189-83) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points. Forward Nikos Pritsos (197-82) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Panerythraikos' coach Dimitris Houhoulis allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Power forward Andronikos Gizogiannis (200-83, agency: FCM) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and Croatian center Ivan Kartelo (208-79, college: Purdue) added 15 points and 8 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) in the effort for AEK/Argous. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Panerythraikos moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Pagrati and Olimpiada. AEK/Argous at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the eleventh position with ten games lost. Panerythraikos will face higher ranked Panelefsiniakos (#6) in Eleusina in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
