Regular Season Round 20: Point Chaud - Spirou Monceau 65-55

We should mention about the upset which took place in Sprimont, where 6th ranked R.Spirou Monceau (8-11) lost to ninth ranked Point Chaud (6-13) in a road game 55-65 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Point Chaud. R.Spirou Monceau managed to win third quarter 20-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Nigerian-American power forward Chinyere Ibekwe (193-87, college: UCLA, agency: LBM Management) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and power forward Hilde Kreemers (180-79) chipped in 12 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Point Chaud players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was international forward Virginie Michiels (182-87) with 5 points and 15 rebounds and guard Krystel Ballau (168-84, agency: LBM Management) scored 18 points. Point Chaud moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Jeugd Gentson. Loser R.Spirou Monceau keeps the sixth position with 11 games lost. Point Chaud will meet at home league's leader Sint Kateline Waver in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. R.Spirou Monceau will play against Blue Cats (#5) in Ieper and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
