An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Okinawa. Second ranked Okinawa GK faced 4th placed Fukuoka Rizing. Host Okinawa GK (24-14) defeated guests from Fukuoka (21-17) 92-79. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 52-38 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great shooting night for Okinawa GK especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. It was a great evening for American center Jeff Newton (205-81, college: Indiana) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American swingman Michael Parker (200-81, college: Evergreen St.) with 20 points and 9 rebounds and Nigerian forward Abdullahi Kuso (206-84, college: Tallahassee CC) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Okinawa GK have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Osaka Evessa. Loser Fukuoka Rizing keeps the fourth place with 17 games lost. Okinawa GK will meet league's leader Hamamatsu Phoenix in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Fukuoka Rizing will play against Takamatsu FA and hope to secure a win.
