Regular Season Round 10: Yulon Luxgen - KKL 100-98

Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked KKL (7-17) was edged by third ranked Yulon Luxgen (13-12) 100-98 on Sunday. However just two-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Yulon Luxgen started the game with a very strong first quarter 29-15. But KKL won second period 22-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. KKL was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Jermaine Dailey (203-86, college: Ill.-Chicago, agency: SportsList Inc.) had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international forward Cheng-Ju Lu (194-86) chipped in 30 points during the contest. Worth to mention Dailey played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped get the job in pro basketball. Four Yulon Luxgen players scored in double figures. At the losing side American swingman Shawn Hawkins (198-82, college: Long Beach St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!), 13 rebounds and 4 assists and international forward Ching-Hwan Chen (190-86) scored 29 points (made all of his ten free throws !!!). KKL's coach Tien-Chin Lo tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Yulon Luxgen have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 13-12 record having nine points less than leader Taiwan Beer, which they share with Dacin Tigers. Loser KKL stay at the bottom place with 17 games lost. Yulon Luxgen will face Dacin Tigers (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. KKL will play against the league's leader Taiwan Beer (#1).
