Regular Season Round 32: Shandong FB - Zhejiang CB 94-107
Date: March 6, 2011
Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked Zhejiang Cyclones (17-13) defeated 9th ranked Shandong Bulls (14-16) in Jinan 107-94 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 107-94. Zhejiang Cyclones outrebounded Shandong Bulls 59-41 including a 30-12 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by American forward Marcus Williams (201-86, college: Arizona, agency: ZAG Advocates) who had that evening a triple-double by scoring 28 points, 12 rebounds, 11 assists and 4 steals and the other American import power forward Josh Boone (208-84, college: Connecticut) supported him with 24 points and 9 rebounds. Even a double-double of 28 points and 10 rebounds by American guard Myron Allen (180-79, college: Lee JC) did not help to save the game for Shandong Bulls. The former international guard Gang Wang (185-83) added 15 points and 5 rebounds for the hosts. Five Zhejiang Cyclones and four Shandong Bulls players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Zhejiang Cyclones maintains fifth position with 17-13 record. Loser Shandong Bulls keep the ninth place with 16 games lost. Zhejiang Cyclones will meet at home Qingdao Double Star (#15) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Shandong Bulls will play against Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (#8) in Hangzhou and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
