Very expected game when 10th ranked Lleida Basquet (12-15) lost at home to fifth ranked Baloncesto Leon (17-10) 73-65 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 20-10 charge, which allowed them to win the game. It was a good game for swingman Julio Alberto Gonzalez (196-81) who led his team to a victory with 22 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). American-Dominican guard Emmanuel Quezada (188-85, college: USF) contributed with 8 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Center Albert Moncasi (209-86) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and American center Dwayne Curtis (203-85, college: Mississippi, agency: Global Sports Plaza) added 13 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Lleida Basquet. Baloncesto Leon moved-up to fourth place. Lleida Basquet lost their third game in a row. Loser Lleida Basquet keeps the tenth position with 15 games lost. Baloncesto Leon will face higher ranked Ford Burgos (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Lleida Basquet will play against CB Tarragona 2017 (#13).
