There was a minor upset when 14th ranked Foshan (10-20) lost at home to sixteenth ranked Fujian SBS XunXin (8-22) 104-97 on Sunday. The winners were led by American center Dwayne Jones (211-83, college: St.Joseph's) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 14 points and 22 rebounds and guard Qin Yang (195-88) supported him with 23 points and 6 assists. Even 24 points and 8 rebounds by forward Yong-gang Zhao (200-82) did not help to save the game for Foshan. American guard Stephon Marbury (187-77, college: Georgia Tech) added 22 points and 7 assists for the hosts. Four Fujian SBS XunXin and five Foshan players scored in double figures. Fujian SBS XunXin maintains sixteenth position with 8-22 record. Loser Foshan keeps the fourteenth place with 20 games lost. They share the position with Qingdao DS. Fujian SBS XunXin will meet league's second-placed DongGuan Leopards on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Foshan will play against Guandong Tigers (#3) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
