CBA top team - Xinjiang Flying Tige (29-1) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed seventh ranked Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (16-14) in Urumqi 111-68. The game without a history. Xinjiang Flying Tige led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 24-of-28 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Xinjiang Flying Tige forced 22 Zhejiang Guangsha Lions turnovers and outrebounded them 36-24 including a 28-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. American guard Quincy Douby (191-84, college: Rutgers) orchestrated the victory by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 4 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). The other American import forward James Singleton (203-81, college: Murray St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocks (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. Five Xinjiang Flying Tige players scored in double figures. American-Puerto Rican center Peter John Ramos (222-85) replied with 9 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Tre Kelley (182-85, college: S.Carolina) added 15 points in the effort for Zhejiang Guangsha Lions. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Xinjiang Flying Tige have an impressive 12-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 29-1 record. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions at the other side dropped to the sixth place with 14 games lost. They share the position with Beijing and Bayi. Xinjiang Flying Tige are looking forward to face Liaoning Hunters (#11) in Yingkou in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions will play at home against Shandong Bulls (#9) in Jinan and are hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
