1/8 Finals Round 1: Ehingen - Bayer Giants 79-67

It looked good early as Bayer Giants took an 5-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Ehingen/Urspringschule had a 23-16 second period charge getting the lead and Bayer Giants were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 67-79. They outrebounded Bayer Giants 35-21 including 23 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Virgil Matthews (188-83, college: Montana) who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists. Center Kristian Kuhn (208-87, college: N.Arizona) contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five Ehingen/Urspringschule players scored in double figures. Ehingen/Urspringschule's coach Ralph Junge allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Josh Young (185-88, college: Drake) answered with 15 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and the other American import center Justin Eller (203-87, college: Sacramento St.) added 13 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Bayer Giants.
