Regular Season Round 39: Takamatsu FA - Oita H.Devils 82-77

There was a small surprise when ninth ranked Takamatsu FA (10-28) defeated at home 7th ranked Oita Heat Devils (16-22) 82-77 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 45-38 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Oita Heat Devils were plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. American players dominated the game. The best player for the winners was power forward Kirby Lemons (200-80, college: La-Monroe) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds. Forward Jefferey Price (203-85, college: Miss.Valley St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Five Takamatsu FA players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Damian Johnson (201-87, college: Minnesota, agency: Edge Sports) who recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds and guard Matt Lottich (193-82, college: Stanford) added 22 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Oita Heat Devils' coach gave the chance to play for ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Takamatsu FA maintains ninth place with 10-28 record. Loser Oita Heat Devils keep the seventh position with 22 games lost. Takamatsu FA will face higher ranked Fukuoka Rizing (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
