We should mention about the upset which took place in Athens, where 10th ranked Ikaros (7-13) lost to thirteenth ranked Ilysiakos (6-14) in a road game 67-74 on Wednesday. Ikaros trailed by 16 points after 3 quarters before a 22-13 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 67-74 at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was guard Alexis Kiritsis (198-82) who scored 16 points. American guard Jimmy Baxter (198-80, college: S.Florida) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. Four Ilysiakos players scored in double figures. American guard Lans Harris (195-83, college: Kansas St.) produced 26 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Deon Thompson (203-88, college: N.Carolina) added 17 points and 12 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ilysiakos moved-up to twelfth place. Ikaros lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with 13 games lost. Ilysiakos' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Athens to the arena Olympiakos.
